Introduction
In first grade we cover a unit about penguins! Students will complete a webquest to gain some information about penguins to use during our unit.
Task
Students will use two websites to do some research, and gain knowledge about penguins. They will answer questions about penguins, and be prepared to talk about the information they found. This will help them get to know some facts about penguins for our unit.

There are different headings on the website you will have to decide which heading will have the information you need to answer the question.
1. What do penguins eat?
2. Where do penguins mostly live?
3. Do penguins use camoflauge? If so then how?
4. Name one interesting fact about penguins.
5. Name three different kinds of penguins.
6. What predators do penguins have?
7. Name your favorite penguin and describe its habitat.
8. Illustrate a picture of your favorite penguin.
Evaluation
The students will be evaluated on how well they answer the questions, and whether or not they have good detail in their answers. This will show me that they used the websites to gain knowledge about penguins. They will use the information they found to talk about penguins in class when we begin our penguin unit.
