Introduction

Welcome to my Pumpkin WebQuest!

This was desgined for first graders to use and learn more about pumpkins.

Choose a task on the left to begin the WebQuest!

Task

During this webquest you will learn:

  • The life cycle of a pumpkin
  • Different types of pumpkins
  • How to navigate a web page
  • How to type and print information on a computer

You will use some of the skills that we have already learned this year:

  • Sequencing pictures
  • Writing sentences
  • Using more descriptive words in our writing

Process

First Task: The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin

Second Task: Writing

  • Using the poster that you printed out go to Microsoft Word and type no less than 7 sentences that explain the life cycle of a pumpkin.
  • Use lots of descriptive words!
  • Use our word wall and papers that we printed out to help you spell words that you have trouble with

Evaluation

Grading!!!!

You will be graded by the following rubric:

4-You completed all necessary tasks, followed the process, and can write in detail about the life cycle of a pumpkin.

3- You completed all necessary tasks, did not do the process complety in order, and can describe the life cycle of a pumpkin.

2-You did not complete all of the tasks, did not follow the process, and can name the steps in the life cycle of a pumpkin.

1-Did not complete webquest and does not know the life cycle of a pumpkin.

Congrats you are finished!!!

By completing this webquest you should be able to know the life cycle of pumpkins, know the different types of pumpkins, type and print on a computer, and navigate a webpage! Here are some extra fun activities to do while you are waiting for the rest of the class to finish.
