You have been saving up your money all year so that you can
buy everyone living in your household presents for the holidays.
You were able to save $500! Now how will you spend it?
Task
Your task is to set up a budget for your holiday shopping trip.
You need to make 3 decisions:
1) How much money do you want to spend on each person?
2) What do you think you want to buy each person?
3) What stores will you be shopping at?

You may shop at the following stores online:1. Old Navy2. Toys R Us3. Dick's Sporting Goods4. Walmart5. AmazonYou must stay within your budget of $500, and you also MUST spend all of your money (as close as you can to $500).You have to shop at at least 3 stores listed.You have been given a 15% off coupon at Old Navy, a 25% off coupon to Walmart, a 45% off coupon at Dick's Sporting Goods, and a 30% off coupon to Toys R Us. You may use these coupons in addition to the deals on the websites. Make sure to use your money and coupons wisely to ensure the best deals!How To Calculate DiscountsDon't forget you will be charged shipping! Some sites will offer free shipping, so take advantage. If you are shipping an item through Amazon, you can only get free two day shipping if you purchase Amazon Prime (normally $99 per year).Once finished, make a slideshow of your spending (see evaluation tab).
Evaluation
You will get to create a slideshow presentation that will tell everyone in your class how you spent your money. Please include in this presentation the following FIVE slides.
Slide 1: Title slide with your name
Slide 2: Tell who you shopped for,
including their name and what you bought them.
Slide 3: Tell how much you spent overall,
and how much money you have left.
Slide 4: Tell what was easy about
this project and what was hard.
Slide 5: List all of the concepts you can think
of that you learned or used when completing this project.
