Shopping Extravangza!

Introduction

Students will have a budget that they will have to get as close to without going over.  Students will learn how to use tax, tip, discounts, mark ups and mark downs. 

Task

1. The students will choose a budget. 

2. Once a budget is chosen they will have to look through the shopping ads to purchase a minimum of 15 items. 

3. They are not allowed to buy more than 2 of any item.  They have to purchase things from at least 3 different stores. 

4. One of the items purchased must be at a new lower price. 

5. They will be randomly be given discounts on certain items in addition to the stores discounts. 

6.The students must add in sales tax to their total price. 

7. The students will place all of this information in a google sheet.
