This WebQuest guides the user through STAAR English II Strategies, Study, and Preparation materials. Most of the strategies will also be applicable to STAAR English I.
Task

Read over the information. Pay close attention to the strategies for difficult questions.
Go to the Top Ten Strategies website:

Pay close attention to #6. There is no penalty for guessing on STAAR questions.
Go to the TEA released tests and attempt the released English II tests:

Use the website to review strategies, and to practice using materials for your deficit areas.
Try this:
Go to the short answer section.
Click on the video tutorial (you will need to turn your sound up high as the videos are quiet).
Pay close attention to the graphic organizer. This is a useful tool for completing the short answers using CAPE.
Evaluation

This can be played on teams with friends/ study partners or in class.

Go to the Kahoot site. Look for STAAR English I and I Kahoots:

Some of these questions require reading materials you will not have, but most of the questions are useful in reviewing basic reading terminology and writing techniques.

Before the test, be sure to:
Get adequate sleep.
