Superbugs!

Introduction

Superbugs are not science fiction!  Scientists agree that they are a world-wide threat and as dangerous to human survival as climate change.  What are superbugs?  Why are they so dangerous and why should you be concerned about them?  Find out about  the importance of this issue as you explore exactly what superbugs are and the dangers they present.

Task

In this lesson you will be directed to websites where you can learn about superbugs, antiobiotic resistance, how superbugs are created, and what can be done to combat them.  You will be gathering information to use in educating the public about these issues.

You will then create a public service announcement to educate the public about superbugs, antibiotic resistance, and ways to fight this problem. A public service announcement (PSA) is an advertisement carried free of charge by mass media to publicize a message in public interest.

Your public service announcement can either be in the form of a paper brochure, or a Google Slides presentation.

To start, you will use the information at various websites to gather facts about the topic.
Next, you will organize your thoughts and facts to create your PSA.
