Introduction

What you are looking at it REAL, this photo has not been altered in any way....Was she born this way? Did someone do this to her? Was she in a horrible accident?

After completing this assignment you will know the answer these questions and more. This “WebQuest” is geared toward giving students a deeper understanding of the Taliban and the affect their treatment had on the people of Afghanistan. This project is intended to be completed prior to reading the novel The Swallows of Kabul by Yasmina Khadra.

You will complete a series of processes that will help you understand the region of Afghanistan, Culture & Religion of the Afghanistan people, and the Political History. Task

For this WebQuest you will be determing the psychological affects the Taliban had on the people of Afghanistan. You will complete the following writing prompt based on the research completed in the PROCESS section.

PROMPT: Explain how the people of Afghanistan live in an oppressed society and how this cruel punishment can mirror the inner character of a person.
