Tradition is a belief or custom that is passed down from generations.
Tradition is one of the most beautiful things that people have created and experienced as living and loving humans. Tradition allows you to cherish valuable memories created with your family and friends over the years. Depending on where you are, these traditions from around the world may appear a little strange but to others they are parts of their history and heritage. Can you think of unusual traditions from around the world?
Task
You and your friends are going to make a poster about traditions in a country. The aim of this project is to give students wider knowledge about traditions in different countries. This site will also provide you with all the resources you might be needing for this project, for instance, you will find articles and pictures about the tradition in Thailand.
Process
Please follow the following steps to complete this WebQuest:
- You will work in a group of 3-4 students
- Go through these links below and choose a country with interesting traditions
- Prepare A2 paper
- Print out pictures that you need and paste them on the A2 paper along with the description of each tradition.
- Decorate your poster as attractive, clear and readable as possible.
- You can use pictures from books or magazines to add some information
- Present the poster to the class with great confidence.
