What's about food?

Introduction

Hi! I’m Valentina and I’m going to tell you my own experience in relation to food.

Why? Because I have to go every week to the dentist because I have some cavities. I love sweets and I brush my teeth few times. However, everybody needs food to survive but not all the aliments are equally required for our body.

Let’s we know more about this topic!

Task

The students have to know which food they need to eat more frequently and those that they have to avoid.

They also have to learn different ways of classifying food.

In order to achieve it, we have proposed the following activities:

- The learners will have to find a picture of the food pyramid on the Internet.

- The students will have to design a big pyramid in a card where they will draw different kind of food.

- The students will have to search information about healthy and unhealthy food and the main nutrients of food on the Internet.

- The students will have to do some online activities and games.

Process

1. The students will have to see the next picture about the food pyramid:

2. The class will be divided into 6 groups of 4 people. Each group will have to work on the creation of a food pyramid.

They will have one card per group and they will draw a big pyramid. Besides, they will have to draw different kind of food in its correct place.

Finally, they will paint all the pictures that they will have done.

3. The students wil have to search information about healthy and unhealthy food and the main nutrients of food on the Internet.
