Women's Rights Project

Introduction

While reading The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi, as a class we continue to discuss the lifestyles of those who lived during the 1830’s. In doing so, we paid specific attention to the role of women during that period of time, especially in regards to their lack of rights. Over the next two weeks, you will conduct a research project in which you will pick a significant woman in history that devoted her efforts to obtaining rights and equal opportunities for all women.
