Who Are Gifted Children

Introduction

This WebQuest is intended to help you comprehend the characteristics of "gifted" children along with the challenges these children  face.

Let us discover what exactly categorizes someone as gifted and how that might lead to extra stress for that person. 

Task

To create a PowerPoint presentation explaining the characteristics of gifted children and what difficulties and stressors these children encounter . 

Process

This process will be set up in a series of 2 tasks. 

  • first, you will look up what it means to be "gifted"
  • second,  you will look up what stressors or challenges gifted students face in school or in personal lives

Conclusion

We have discovered that gifted children are unique and have unique set of stress and challenges. Gifted children can be hypersensitive to their environments and surroundings and socially awkward because they fear people will not understand them.

Giftedness is a large category; it is difficult to look at all its  aspects.  You could do some of your own investigations, however, by checking these links out:
